52.6 % Vol. Nose Initially sweet and fruity with lots of citrus, then quite some nuttiness and oak spice. Sweet and bitter orange, vanilla, fruit cake, grenadine syrup, a slight grassiness, polished wood, old book shelves, caramel, toffee, ginger. Taste Quite thick and creamy, more citrus, bitter lemon, grapefruit, sweet liquorice, gummi bears, grenadine syrup. Neat it is very peppery and oaky with lots of tannic wood bitters. Water makes it a little softer, but the strong oak influence remains very much noticable with black pepper, clove and some ginger. Finish Long: sweet and bitter citrus, sweet liquorice, quickly shifts to big and bold dry oak wood spices. Underwhelming for a whisky in this price range.
